Savi's warbler — This apparent migrant was seen from the decks of a ferry from Plymouth to Santander in early September. The bird was about 2 hours (boat time) from Santander and was battling a strong breeze.
This species is not normally easy to find and the sighting may help in a small way to better understand its migration habits.
