The eyes are blue, suggesting large pincertail. This is a female since it has a thick abdomen and short, straight appendages, that are quite unlike those of a male. The broken yellow collar and black forehead also confirm large pincertail.
Like the common club-tail the eyes are apart. But since this species isn't found in the UK (these photos are from France), the club-tail remains unique in this respect in the UK.
