yellow-winged darter sympetrum flaveolum

portraits
yellow-winged darter
This immature female shows yellow suffusion on the wings. The wing-spots are still very light (immature) but their outlines are becoming dark. The format of the black lines on the side of the thorax are a good match for this species, as are the black lines down the side of the abdomen and on the top along s8 and s9 (just visible). The legs are yellow and black.
