Savernake Forest contains about 7,000 trees and some of the old oaks have been given names
by the Forestry Commission.
There are about two dozen named oaks to be found and I managed to find about half.
Just three are pictured here.
The Big Belly oak (featured in the 'some wonders' menu) is another.

As an aside, Henry VIII used to visit Savernake because he liked the deer-hunting.
It was here that he first got acquainted with Jane Seymour,
the daughter of Sir John Seymour, head of the Savernake estate.

Savernake Forset is about 4,500 acres. I've been there a few times to search for trees and to observe
the wildlife (good for muntjacs). It would take many visits to see it all.
